Providence Medical Academy was started in response to the critical need to bring medical assistants into our healthcare workforce more rapidly. We offer an accelerated medical assistant curriculum, plus externship, that prepares students to be eligible to sit for the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam.
With personalized instruction, our students receive the attention and support they need to achieve their goals. And with flexible evening and weekend hours, students can balance their education with their personal and work commitments.

The program
Medical Assisting Certificate Program
Our program gives you the foundational knowledge and skills to enter the workforce as a skilled and confident healthcare worker, providing quality and safe patient care. Through direct faculty instruction and skills lab training, the program focuses on the medical office front- and back-office tasks and procedures needed to support patient care under the supervision of a licensed independent practitioner (physician, nurse practitioner or physician assistant).
