Providence Medical Academy is a private healthcare training facility located just off I-20 in Douglasville, Georgia.

Our mission is to provide a high-quality education to prepare each student to enter the workforce as a skilled and confident healthcare worker, providing compassionate and safe patient care.

Providence Medical Academy was started in response to the critical need to infuse medical assistants, more rapidly into our healthcare workforce. We offer an accelerated medical assistant curriculum, plus externship, which prepares students to be eligible to sit the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam.

With personalized instruction, our students receive the attention and support they need to achieve their goals. And, with our flexible evening and weekend hours, students can balance their education with their personal and work commitments.

Providence Medical Academy is authorized by the Georgia Nonpublic Postsecondary Education Commission and is a registered testing site for the NHA. Our instructors are licensed and certified professionals in their respective fields and have years of experience in ambulatory care and/or post-secondary education settings.

Our Medical Assisting Certificate Program is designed to provide the student with the foundational knowledge and skills to enter the workforce as a skilled and confident healthcare worker, providing quality and safe patient care. Through direct faculty instruction and skills lab training, the program focuses on medical office front and back-office tasks and procedures necessary to support the care of patients under the supervision of a licensed independent practitioner (physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant).
